Small, Square Photographs. Print them 8 by 8 inches or 6 by 6 inches and they seem so personal.

I wish Sony (nex 7) had an option for square aspect. So easy to do in software.

Nice.

My standard printing size from 6x6 negatives is a 7x7 square on an 8x10 sheet of paper. Yup, in the darkroom.

I think Mike over at The Online Photographer suggested that if you want your descendants to _want_ your collection of photos, don't print them huge.

I absolutely love small prints - for one thing, I can paste several dozen of them on my wall.
You might enjoy Masao Yamamoto's work, if you are not already familiar with it:

I love that size. My G3 is set to 1:1 most of the time and I print 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 from those files. In personal you picked out the perfect word to describe the size. My God, you can write too! Lovely examples.

Wow those are beautiful. What a great idea. I am going follow James's lead and set my G3 up as he did. Travis is right, very inspiring. Ernest Theise

I like square images and the neat cameras that make square images as their native format. I wish some camera company would make a digital camera with a square sensor and cropped rectangles instead of the reverse. Sigh.
