Kirk, This comment is not connected to this post, except, perhaps, tangentially. I know that you like the Pentax k-01. I like it too. In fact, I bought mine when the prices were low, and, coincidentally, before you bought yours. I like things that are "off the beaten path". There is another camera available at a low price that I think you might like. Have you considered the lowly Canon EOS M? I think you might like it.
Creative ideas are by definition new and different, so it's no surprise that it takes people a while to warm up to them. More importantly, implementing creative ideas means CHANGE, and few people like change.
Perfectly timed post, Kirk. I was thinking about a word I could use for inspiration (having nothing and everything to do with photography and any and everything else). I'm 59 and have run out of fun on a successful business I started on a whim 7 years ago. It needs new blood to take it to somewhere I'm unwilling to go. It took creative energy to envision and implement, now it's just work. So I was looking for a word to spark a new interest. Duh, creative! My word for the new year. Thanks, Kirk!!

It is not only about taking creative risks it also risky to be creative. Museums should be empty.
